Academy Awards ke-92 atau penganugerahan Piala Oscar tahun 2020 sudah rampung digelar. Oscars 2020 diselenggarakan pada Minggu (9/2/2020) waktu setempat, di Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, California atau Senin (10/2/2020) waktu Indonesia.

Melansir Vox.com, ada sembilan nominasi untuk Best Picture: Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Little Women, Marriage Story, 1917, Once Upon a Time di Hollywood, dan Parasite.

Penghargaan industri yang diberikan selama beberapa minggu terakhir telah menjadikan Sam Mendes menjadi sutradara terbaik dalam film 1917; film ini juga telah mendapat penganugerahan oleh Producers Guild, Director Guild, BAFTA, dan Golden Globes.

Sementara itu, favorit dalam empat kategori akting adalah Brad Pitt (untuk Aktor Pendukung untuk Once Upon a Time di Hollywood), Laura Dern (untuk Aktris Pendukung untuk Marriage Story), Joaquin Phoenix (untuk Aktor Utama untuk Joker), dan Reneé Zellweger (naik untuk Aktris Utama untuk Judy), setelah tampaknya memenangkan setiap penghargaan.
