Pandemi Covid-19 telah berlangsung lebih dari satu tahun. Ada banyak tantangan dan kesempatan yang ada selama pandemi Covid-19 berlangsung. Salah satu tantangan berat yang dihadapi adalah pemulihan ekonomi.
Secara umum, pemulihan ekonomi Indonesia di masa sekarang ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kesehatan masyarakatnya. Peran berbagai perusahaan farmasi dengan produk kesehatannya pun menjadi sangat krusial. Menteri Kesehatan Budi Gunadi Sadikin mengatakan, industri farmasi memiliki peran strategis dalam upaya mengatasi pandemi, khususnya untuk produksi dan distribusi obat-obatan untuk penanganan Covid-19.

"Saat ini, terdapat 222 industri farmasi di Indonesia yang menghasilkan komoditas multidimensional berupa obat-obatan sebagai produk kesehatan, iptek, dan ekonomi," papar Menkes saat memberikan keynote speech dalam Indonesia Best Pharmacy Brand Awards 2021: Health for All Toward Swift Economic Recovery yang diselenggarakan Warta Ekonomi secara daring, Rabu (31/3/2021).
Dari sisi ekonomi, lanjut Menkes, industri farmasi merupakan salah satu sektor industri yang tetap tumbuh selama pandemi, baik itu dari nilai pasar maupun nilai investasi. "Pertumbuhan industri ini tentunya akan memberikan akses yang makin baik pada produksi farmasi yang aman, berkhasiat, dan bermutu bagi masyarakat sehingga derajat kesehatan masyarakat akan meningkat," ucapnya.
Ia menambahkan, saat ini Indonesia masih berupaya keras keluar dari pandemi Covid-19. Upaya tersebut membutuhkan partisipasi dan dukungan sinergis dari seluruh pihak, termasuk industri farmasi.
Menkes menyebut, salah satu program yang perlu didukung adalah vaksinasi Covid-19. Sebagai game changer dalam penanganan pandemi, kata Menkes, vaksinasi harus dilakukan secara luas dan secepat mungkin sesuai dengan standar mutu yang berlaku. Tujuannya agar berhasil mencapai target herd imunity.
"Untuk itu, saya mengharapkan dukungan dari industri farmasi untuk bersama pemerintah menyukseskan program vaksinasi ini," pungkas Menkes.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Founder dan Presiden Komisaris Warta Ekonomi Fadel Muhammad menekankan, perlu ada riset-riset baru dari industri farmasi agar mampu menghasilkan produk yang lebih baik. Dari riset itulah, industri farmasi dan sektor kesehatan dapat bertumbuh. "Karena kesehatan adalah senjata utama untuk menuju pemulihan ekonomi yang cepat," singkat Fadel.
Dalam melakukan penelitian untuk penghargaan Indonesia Best Pharmacy Brand Awards 2021: Health for All Toward Swift Economic Recovery, tim peneliti Warta Ekonomi menggunakan metode survei daring (online) dengan total 1.000 responden dari periode 24 Januari-31 Januari 2021.
Indikator yang digunakan adalah reputasi, publikasi, dan advertising. Adapun responden yang dijaring adalah masyarakat dengan usia minimal 18 tahun sampai dengan di atas 45 tahun dari semua profesi dan berbagai latar socio economic status (SES).
Selain menggunakan survei daring, tim peneliti Warta Ekonomi juga menggunakan media monitoring melalui content analysis. Media monitoring tersebut melihat berbagai sentimen positif yang muncul di media mainstream dan media sosial yang ada.
