Warta Ekonomi -

WE  Online, Jakarta - Awani, Bali, producer of distinctive tropical fruit preserves in Bali, is celebrating success after winning 3 prestigious food awards at this year’s 11th Anniversary Marmalade Awards Celebrations at Dalemain, United Kingdom.

Awani, which has been making high quality tropical fruit preserves since 2007, has just won awards for all 3 of its products entered into the 11th World’s Original Marmalade Awards. Awani won a Gold, Silver, and Bronze award each.

One of the marmalade world’s most prestigious accolades, a Gold award, was given to Awani’s Lime Marmalade with Fresh Young Ginger, which scored high marks for its appearance, colour, consistency, aroma and flavour. Awani's Lime Marmalade was awarded Silver, and Balinese Tangerine Marmalade (made with Balinese Sumaga), was awarded Bronze.

As a world champion marmalade maker, Awani is now able to proudly carry the award- winning sticker on their jars.

"Our whole team is excited and proud to be recognised internationally for our distinctive tropical fruit jams and marmalades that are made in Bali. We would like our success to highlight Indonesia as a country with fantastic local produce and a rich, cultural heritage," Yip Lee, Founder of Awani said, Sunday (10/4/2016).

Meanwhile, this is the 11th year of the World’s Original Marmalade Awards founded by Marmalade Awards and Festival Organiser, Jane Hasell-McCosh. The competition attracted 3,000 entries including hundreds of overseas entries in the homemade and artisan competition from as far afield as South Africa, America, Australia, Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore.

"2016 has proven that marmalade can no longer be seen as a typical British food item. With so many flavours and entries from all over the world, it is truly an international obsession. We are delighted at the success of working with our Festival Partners and I can’t thank them enough for making this happen, moving the Festival into the next Decade and helping us to celebrate and champion marmalade," Founder Jane Hasell-McCosh said.
