PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP), a subsidiary of Arsari Tambang, has won two prestigious awards from the Indonesian Ministry of Environment: the Proper Gold Award and the Proper Green Leadership Award.

These awards were presented to MSP for achieving the highest ranking in the PROPER assessment, thanks to its exceptional environmental management performance, implementation of social innovations, and commitment to going beyond compliance in conducting company operations.

The Gold PROPER award was presented to MSP and accepted by MSP Commissioner Harwendro Adityo Dewanto, while the Green PROPER Leadership award was presented to and accepted by Arsari Tambang CEO Aryo P. S. Djojohadikusumo, and presented directly by the Indonesian Minister of Environment, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, during an event held at Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

In his statement, Aryo noted that the Gold Proper Award the company received serves as proof of its commitment to maintaining environmental quality, particularly for communities near its operational areas.

“The most tangible impact felt by the community is the increasingly cleaner air quality. This is part of our commitment to achieving net zero—meaning we produce no air or water pollution. Alhamdulillah, the surrounding community has already begun to notice this, and we will continue to improve it in the future,” he said.

He also added that MSP is preparing strategic steps to improve environmental performance, one of which is through the full use of renewable energy at the smelter facility.

“God willing, next year we aim to use 100 percent renewable energy at the smelter. This is part of our ongoing efforts to improve environmental quality,” he added.

Furthermore, Aryo emphasized that the Gold Proper certification will not only be maintained in the downstream sector but will also be expanded to the upstream sector, including mining operations.

“Currently, our mining units have achieved the Green Proper certification. Moving forward, we will strive to upgrade to the Gold Proper certification by utilizing zero-emission heavy equipment and implementing electrification across the entire production process,” he explained.

According to Aryo, the key to maintaining and improving these achievements is integrity.

“We are doing all of this not merely to pursue awards, but as a commitment to not pollute the environment. Integrity is non-negotiable—now and forever,” he stressed.

This award also serves as tangible proof that MSP is capable of integrating business aspects with environmental sustainability while providing added value to the surrounding community.
